An Italian court apprehended a euro forger who generated phony bills worth 11 million euros.
On August 14, the Italian Carabinieri detained a well-known money launderer in Naples, Italy. They also dismantled his sophisticated home-based counterfeiting print factory, which included 31 digital printing machines, and took possession of about three million euros’ worth of high-quality counterfeit banknotes. Bella Vista, Arkansas’s City claims to be looking into a potential cyber issue. As a precaution, IT shut down all systems, so there was no phone or internet connection, therefore the city announced that its offices were closed on August 19. On August 20, offices will stay closed. Employees will work remotely and conduct business online and through email. According to the city, on August 18, its IT department found “suspicious activity.” On August 20, Bella Vista’s district court, city hall, and public library will all be closed. Intelligence from Ukraine provides details of a cyberattack against a Russian nuclear manufacturer.

For nearly a week, several important businesses in the town have been without internet or communication access.
