Today's IPL 2024 match pits RR against MI; view the head-to-head record
The Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, will try to get back at the top-seeded Rajasthan Royals.
The 2008 champion Rajasthan Royals will be the target of Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians as they prepare to play their next Indian Premier League match of the 2024 season on Monday. The Rajasthan Royals bowlers completely outclassed the record-winning Mumbai when the two teams faced off against Sanju Samson and company in MI’s den. Pandya had a difficult time returning home at the Wankhede Stadium thanks to former MI pacer Trent Boult, who ignited a batting collapse of the Mumbai Paltan.
Boult gave golden ducks to Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir, as RR held MI to a meek score of 125-9 in 20 overs. With Riyan Parag hitting an undefeated 54 off 39 balls, RR easily defeated the Mumbai Indians by six wickets. The Mumbai Indians, nevertheless, have recovered following a dismal start to the current campaign. Hardik and company have made their way to Jaipur having won three of their previous four games.

The Mumbai Indians are ranked seventh out of ten teams. In their first match of the new season, MI defeated Punjab Kings. Jasprit Bumrah, the current Purple Cap holder, is also a member of the Mumbai Indians roster. During the IPL 2024, Gerald Coetzee of South Africa and speedster Bumrah have combined to take 25 wickets. With 12 wickets, Coetzee is MI’s second-highest wicket-taker for the visiting team.

RR vs. MI: performance comparison
With respect to their head-to-head record, RR has defeated MI 13 times. The visitors hope to defeat RR for the 16th time in Jaipur. It’s interesting to note that the Mumbai Indians team hasn’t won any of their last away games against Rajasthan. The last time the five-time champions triumphed over RR at this location was in 2012.
