Sikandar 2nd Day Box Office: Salman’s Film Trails Chhaava, Earns ₹55 Cr Worldwide

Day 2 Box Office Collection for Sikandar, starring Salman Khan Sikandar had a poor start at the box office after its Sunday release. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie’s earnings somewhat increased on the second day of its release, which was Eid, earning Rs 29 crore. As a result, the movie has made a total of Rs 55 crore in India. Although Sikandar’s earnings surpass Salman’s 2024 release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which brought in about Rs 39 crore in its first two days, these figures are undoubtedly concerning in light of the star’s prior successes.

On the second day, Sikandar recorded a nationwide occupancy rate of about 24.6%. The movie had over 1800 showings and an occupancy rate of about 27% in the Delhi-NCR region and over 1350 showings and an occupancy rate of about 28% in the Mumbai region.

Tiger 3's Box Office Struggles and Release Strategy Misstep

Salman also starred in YRF’s Tiger 3, which came out on a Sunday last year. Tiger 3 generated little over Rs 104 crore in its first two days of release. Although those figures may seem great on their own, they were viewed as disappointing when compared to movies like Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2, which had a far better start at the box office in the months before Tiger 3’s release. Later, it was claimed that Tiger 3’s Sunday release was a mistake because the film’s creators did not take advantage of the long holiday weekend.

Box Office Battles: Salman’s Struggles vs. Chhaava’s Domination

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman’s most recent theatrical film, was a tremendous disaster for him and brought in about Rs 111 crore at the box office. Tiger 3 earned about Rs 283 crore at the Indian box office later that year. Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which debuted on February 14 and has already earned Rs 592.3 crore at the domestic box office, is the only film that has ruled the Hindi scene in 2025. Despite not being a holiday release, Chhaava earned Rs 68 crore in its first two days of release.
