PUNE: A 30-year-old undertrial prisoner was found hanging in a verandah close to the pharmacy outlet on the Yerawada central prison premises around 7.25am on Monday.
The inmate had previously attempted death by suicide in July last year, the prison department said in a statement.”The inmate, Mangesh Vitthal Bhor (30) of Junnar, hanged himself using a towel.
Some other inmates,who were present in the area.spotted him hanging and raised an alarm.The prison guards and others took him down and moved him to the prison hospital where he was declared dead at 7.35,the release stated.
