On Monday, Salt shattered the record at Eden, which was set 14 years earlier, at Sourav's home field.

At Eden, Sourav also held the record for most runs scored during an IPL season. That record was broken by salt. And that too in Sourav’s presence.

Eden refers to the rule of Sourav Gangopadhyay. It’s the field he played on growing up. Eden has been practicing diligently since being left off of the Indian squad. After that, he joined the team again. On Monday, Phil Salt broke Sourav’s record on that field. And that too in Sourav’s presence.

At Eden, Sourav also held the record for most runs scored during an IPL season. 331 runs were scored by him in 7 games. That record was broken by salt. KKR has participated in six IPL games thus far, all of them at Eden. In the six games, he scored 344 runs.

Right now, Salt leads the IPL record for most runs scored at Eden. In the 2010 IPL, Sourav scored 331 runs at Eden. To break that record, it took fourteen years. Third place goes to Andre Russell. In 2019, he amassed 311 runs at Eden. In 2018, Chris Lynn amassed 303 runs.

On Monday, Salt had a brutal innings against the Delhi Capitals. KKR first held Delhi to 153 runs. On his own, Varun Chakraborty claimed three wickets. Salt scored 68 runs off of 33 balls in pursuit of that run. KKR won by a score of seven wickets.
