On Wednesday, January 29, Maruti Suzuki India, the biggest car manufacturer in India, announced that its consolidated net profit for the December quarter of the current fiscal year (Q3FY25) increased 16.22% year over year (YoY) to ₹3,726.9 crore. The company made ₹3,206.8 crore in the same period previous year.

ToggleFrom ₹33,512.8 crore in the December quarter of FY24 to ₹38,764.3 crore for the quarter under review, the total consolidated revenue from operations increased 15.7% year over year.
On a standalone basis, the company’s profit grew 13 per cent YoY to ₹3,525 crore from ₹3,130 crore in the same period last year.
In comparison to ₹3,907.9 crore in the same quarter previous year, the company’s profits before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 14.4% year over year to ₹4,470.3 crore. However, year over year, the EBITDA margin decreased slightly to 11.6% from 11.7%.

Maruti said it registered the highest-ever net sales of ₹36,802 crore
In comparison to ₹31,860 crore in the same period last year, Maruti reported the highest-ever net sales of ₹36,802 crore for the quarter.
In an exchange filing, the company reported that its sales increased by over 13% annually. During the quarter, it sold 5,66,213 cars, up from 5,01,207 during the same period the previous year.
It sold 4,66,993 units in the domestic market during the quarter, compared to 4,29,422 units during the same period last year.
During the quarter, it exported 99,220 units, the most ever in any quarter. It exported 71,785 units in the same quarter last year.
9MFY25 performance
According to the corporation, its nine-month sales volume, net sales, and net profit reached their best levels ever.
Maruti Suzuki sold 16,29,631 units for the nine-month (April–December) period of the current fiscal year (9MFY25), a 5% increase over 9MFY24.
During the time, exports totaled 2,47,496 units and domestic market sales were 13,82,135 units.
