Lok Sabha constituencies

Manipur is a state in northeastern India with two seats in the Lok Sabha.

With 937,464 voters, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh defeated Oinam Nabakishore Singh of the Indian National Congress to win the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat.

The Naga Peoples Front’s Lorho S Pfoze defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Houlim Shokhopao Mate in Outer Manipur, which is reserved for scheduled tribes and has 1,022,099 electors. Election changes have taken place in both constituencies over time, and the political climate in Manipur has been impacted by these distinct outcomes.

The significance of the constituency is shown by Thangso Baite’s victories in Outer Manipur in 2014 and 2009, while the electorate in Inner Manipur has also been essential in determining Manipur’s political direction through their voting behaviour.
