Maharashtra is one of the most significant states in the next general elections because it has 48 seats overall in the Lok Sabha. The Election Commission of India has declared the dates of the country’s Lok Sabha elections after much consideration and planning. The lower house of parliament elections are scheduled to begin on April 19, 2024, and will take place in seven phases throughout various states. Dates of the Maharastra Lok Sabha Elections 2024: A List by City
In the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, the BJP emerged as the winner, taking up 23 of the 25 seats it ran for. In the meantime, the Shiv Sena, its former ally, won eighteen of the twenty-three seats it had run for. However, the NCP ran for 19 seats as a member of the opposition alliance and was successful in four of those contests. These outcomes demonstrated the BJP’s hegemony in that state’s election system.
