In Singapore, HCLTech will open a new AI-Cloud lab.

According to HCLTech, a new artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud native lab will be established in Singapore and is anticipated to open in 2025. At a meeting with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information on Monday, HCLTech chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra made this declaration.

According to the company’s application with the BSE, the new facility in Singapore will be the fifth in its global network. Along with labs in the US, UK, Germany, and India, the Singapore-based lab will receive support from EDB and help businesses in the area accelerate their AI initiatives with HCLTech’s full suite of integrated AI and GenAI offerings, such as AI Force and AI Foundry, the company said.

Additionally, the Singapore Lab will work with Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic to share information and develop young talent and mid-career AI professionals.

“Our Labs are a conducive starting point for enterprises that want to embark on a collaborative journey to develop blueprints for AI and GenAI-led efficiencies, new business capabilities, skilling roadmaps, and overall organizational competitive advantage with a pragmatic approach,” stated Vijay Guntur, chief technology officer and head of ecosystems at HCLTech. We are thrilled to have Singapore join our network, which will significantly enhance Singapore’s standing as a regional center for AI innovation.

AI continues to advance

“DISG has been driving the adoption of AI across key industries and Singapore-based corporates, and HCLTech’s AI Lab supports this mission,” stated Philbert Gomez, executive director of Digital Industry Singapore (DISG).

For more than 40 years, HCLTech has operated in Singapore, serving a wide range of clients. According to a statement from the company, Singapore serves as the center for HCLTech’s Southeast Asia operations and has spearheaded technological innovations, such as the first Wi-Fi-based patient tracking system in Asia and other projects for the Singaporean government.
