"Ganguly apna jack laga ke aaya hai," Gambhir remarked. In response, Dada said: The head coach of India made fun of the former BCCI president.
In 2015, during a Ranji Trophy encounter between Delhi and Bengal at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (then Feroz Shah Kotla), Gautam Gambhir and Manoj Tiwary got into a physical altercation on the pitch.
As the two former India and Kolkata Knight Riders teammates threw insulting remarks at one another, they almost collided in the middle of the field.
Even after ten years, Tiwary continued to attack Gambhir, criticizing his coaching, his character, and the way the India head coach had intimidated him while they were teammates at KKR.

However, what many aren't aware of is that Gambhir even went after former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
Many people are unaware, though, that Gambhir also targeted Sourav Ganguly, the head of the BCCI and a former captain of India. As Tiwary recounts, Gambhir actually made fun of Ganguly as he was teasing Tiwary. Tiwary, who is known to have a strong relationship with Ganguly, told Dada what Gambhir had said. And in keeping with his gentlemanly demeanor, Ganguly answered with his usual poise and elegance.

"When he was constantly abusing, I remember Sourav Ganguly had just joined CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal).
“I recall that Sourav Ganguly had recently joined the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) when he was abusing people all the time. He was also talking trash about him. “Woh apna jack laga ke aa gaya,” he said. Uske peeche aa gaya, huh? Sab karke pohuch gaya tu bhi yeh. (He followed his sources to get to where he is, and you did the same? You too engage in such antics. ‘Theek hai’ (It’s alright) was Dada’s response when I told. It was my responsibility to tell him. It’s evident that Gambhir struggles with anger management. There is no chance that we will speak or meet again after that day,” Tiwary stated in an interview on The Lallantop.
Gambhir told me 'bahar mil… batata hu'
With only 40 minutes remaining in the game, Gambhir believed Tiwary was purposefully postponing the match, which led to the incident. Gambhir immediately began a barrage of verbal abuse, which the Bengal batsman found offensive. Tiwary goes on to say that following the match, Gambhir challenged him to a brawl, intensifying the conflict to the point where their relationship was never the same.
Never in my life have I heard such abuse. You shouldn’t take it lying down if your mother is abused. Abuse is not something I can tolerate in silence. ‘Gauti bhai, why are you talking like this?’ I asked him. After that, the over ended. Then I became angry. “Meet me in the evening, and I’ll thrash you,” he threatened. ‘Why evening?’ I asked. Let’s get started. The game took place in Delhi. That’s not how any player ever spoke to me. Every member of the media in attendance heard everything he said,” Tiwary continued.
“He pushed him away as well when the umpire moved in between them. I was at the non-striker’s end when the over ended. He abruptly stopped and began mistreating me once more. Umpires are powerless. They fear that he may use his power against them because he is a significant player.
