Today, Honda will introduce the first electric Activa scooter: Important characteristics to anticipate
The electric Activa scooter, Honda’s first electric scooter in India, has a contemporary TFT display and replaceable batteries.
It seeks to compete in the expanding EV industry with a 104 km range electric Activa scooter.
Today, Honda will introduce the Activa Electric, its first electric scooter for the Indian market.
The Activa Electric's swappable battery system is one of its main features
The Activa Electric’s swappable battery system is one of its main features. Two detachable batteries will be included with the scooter, enabling users to conveniently charge them at home or at work. As a result, parking lots no longer require special charging stations. Honda also intends to install battery switching stations, which will allow customers to quickly change out a depleted battery for a fully charged one. With features like music controls and navigation, the top-tier Activa Electric model will have a TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity. The less expensive models, meanwhile, will have a simple LCD panel that highlights key functions. There will be two riding modes available to riders: Standard and Sport. With a slower throttle response to optimize range, the Standard Mode is engineered for efficiency. The Sport Mode, on the other hand, may result in a lower overall range but offers faster acceleration and possibly a higher top speed. With an anticipated 104 km range between charges, the Activa Electric should be able to compete with other electric scooters such as the Vida V1 and Ather Rizta. It is therefore a good choice for city commuters.
As the Activa Electric enters a cutthroat market, it will have to contend with competitors like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak,
Ola S1 Series, Ather Rizta, and Vida V1. However, the Activa Electric is set to have a big impact on the expanding electric scooter market because to its interchangeable batteries and Honda’s solid reputation as a brand.
