Nagpur : Dolly Chaiwala, who became well-known on the internet when a video of him giving Bill Gates tea went viral, talked candidly about his meeting with the Microsoft co-founder and said that he had not recognized him at first until the video went popular on social media.
In an open discussion about the same topic with ANI, the Nagpur tea vendor claimed, “I had no idea who he was. I assumed that since he was a foreign man, I needed to offer him tea. When I returned to Nagpur the following day, I realized to whom I had given tea. (Kiso chai pilaya agle din pata chala maine),” he uttered.
Dolly Chaiwala, who took the internet by storm after a video of him serving tea to Bill Gates went viral, opened up about his interaction with him and said that he did not recognise the Microsoft co-founder initially until the viral clip surfaced on social media.
He continued, saying, “We didn’t say anything at all. I was working on something, and he was standing right next to me. “Wow, Dolly ki Chai,” exclaimed Bill Gates after taking a sip of my tea.
“I haven’t adopted this style; I just copied it from the South movies I watch,” Dolly replied in response to a question concerning the unusual attire worn by the Nagpur tea vendor.
Furthermore, the tea vendor declared his wish to sell tea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “I feel like I’ve turned into ‘Nagpur ka Dolly Chaiwala.'” I hope to serve Prime Minister Narendra Modi tea in the future.”
