Digital Blackout : Thousands of X Users Locked Out in Global Crash

Users across India and the globe are facing a major social media shutdown. The Elon Musk-owned platform X (formerly Twitter) has suffered a critical technical failure, leaving thousands completely unable to access their feeds or log in. Attempts to refresh the microblogging site are being met with a frustrating notification that reads, “Cannot retrieve posts at this time. Please try again later.”

The disruption has hit Indian users particularly hard. Data from the performance tracking site Downdetector.com shows that reports of the X outage India peaked around 6:18 PM on Saturday with over 2,000 users flagging immediate problems.

The technical glitch wasn’t limited to one region. The “Cannot retrieve posts” error spread across North America and Asia simultaneously.

  • India Peak – More than 2,151 reports were logged by 6:18 PM.
