Forbes reports that 3,028 entrepreneurs are listed on the World’s Billionaires List for the year, which is 247 more than the previous year. Additionally, their combined fortune has increased by $2 trillion, for a total value of $16.1 trillion.
With a record 902 billionaires, the US topped the list; in fact, it holds eight of the top ten slots. China, including Hong Kong, came in second with 516 billionaires, while India came in third with 205 billionaires.

- Born in South Africa, Elon Musk is currently a US citizen. On Forbes’ 2025 World’s Billionaires List, Elon Musk, 53, maintains his unchallenged number one position with a total wealth of $342 billion. In actuality, his wealth has nearly doubled from the $195 billion reported the year before to the Forbes 2024 list. The March 7 stock prices serve as the basis for the computations. Among his other business ventures, Elon Musk owns SpaceX and Tesla.
- Mark Zuckerberg: With $216 billion in wealth from the parent company of Facebook, the 40-year-old founder and CEO of Meta comes in second on this list. In the top 10, he is also the youngest.
- The 61-year-old CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is ranked third on Forbes’ 2025 rich list with a net worth of $215 billion.
- Larry Ellison (80): The founder of Oracle has a $192 billion net worth.
- Bernard Arnault & family (76): The LVMH patriarch is the only non-American (French) to date, having accumulated $178 billion to complete the top five.
- Warren Buffett (94): With $154 billion in wealth, the Berkshire Hathaway owner is the oldest of the top 10.
- Larry Page (52): With a worth of $144 billion as of 2025, the Google co-founder entered the list.
- Sergey Brin (51): With $138 billion, the fellow Google co-founder came in at number 10.
- With $124 billion in 2025, Zara’s owner, Amancio Ortega (89), is only the second non-American (Spanish) in the top 10.
- Steve Ballmer (69): With $118 billion in wealth, the Microsoft co-founder finished in the top 10.
