Heat will increase in East, South India, heat wave forecast in Mumbai, relief from rain in Delhi

Tuesday’s rain brought relief to Delhi. But in the rest of the country, that relief remains elusive for now. East and South India are scorching hot. Heat wave is going on in large part. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday said that there is a possibility of heatwave in Maharashtra’s Thane, Raigarh and parts of Mumbai from April 27, Saturday to April 29, Monday.

Sushma Nair, a scientist at the Mausam Bhavan, said on Wednesday that there is an opposite circulation over parts of Thane, Raigarh and Mumbai. That is why the temperature is going to increase. Next Saturday and Sunday are going to be the hottest there. Earlier, on April 15 and 16, a heat wave situation was created in Mumbai and surrounding areas. The temperature in Navi Mumbai crossed 41 degrees Celsius.
According to Mausam Bhavan, severe heat wave conditions may develop in East India for the next five days. The South will not be spared. Heat wave is likely in various areas of West Bengal, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Sikkim, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand. The temperature is going to rise gradually. The residents of those areas have only one question, when will it rain? However, Mausam Bhavan did not say anything about it….

While heat wave conditions have developed in the east and south of the country, the capital city of Delhi has received a temporary respite from the sudden rain. Delhi, NCR and Ghaziabad received light to moderate rain on Tuesday evening. Due to this, the minimum temperature has dropped to 22 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was 38 degrees Celsius. 15 flights were scheduled to land at Delhi airport but diverted due to bad weather. Among them, nine aircraft landed in Jaipur, two in Amritsar, two in Lucknow and one each in Mumbai and Chandigarh. Several flights left late.
