Punjab: Sunrisers Hyderabad got their third win of the season by beating Punjab Kings by two runs in a tight match. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 182 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy scored the highest 64 runs. In reply, Punjab Kings stopped at 180 runs. Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma, the heroes of Punjab’s last match, lost and tried to win the match, but Punjab sank to the shore.

Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sunrisers Hyderabad kept losing wickets at regular intervals from the beginning of the innings. Even though none of the star batsmen scored runs, Nitish Kumar Reddy fought alone. He pulled the team alone by playing a fast innings of 64 runs off 37 balls. Besides, Abdul Samad scored 25. In the end, Hyderabad lost 9 wickets and scored 182 runs in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh took maximum 4 wickets for Punjab Kings.

Shashank Singh remained unbeaten with 46 runs from 25 balls and Ashutosh Sharma remained unbeaten with 33 runs from 15 balls.
