Indian ship crashed in Baltimore by hacking? America's ban is increasing mystery

America’s ban on Chinese hackers came to light after the Baltimore bridge disaster. Whether these two events are just coincidences or whether there is really a relationship between the two events is a hot topic.

The memory of the ‘Francis Scott Key’ bridge disaster in Baltimore, USA is still fresh. An Indian ship sailing from Baltimore harbor lost control and rammed directly into a pillar of the ‘Francis Scott Key’ bridge. The bridge immediately collapsed into the Patapsco River.

American President Joe Biden has also accepted that due to the wisdom of 22 Indian sailors present in the ship MV Dali at the time of the accident, it was possible to avoid great danger.

Rescue work started after the accident. Six people have died in this incident. An investigation has also been started on how this accident happened. America’s National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said that the incident is being investigated in depth. All aspects will be investigated. They said that it may take two years to complete the investigation. The condition of the bridge is also under investigation. And it is in this situation that conspiracy theories are emerging.

Soon after the Baltimore bridge disaster, social media started discussing this conspiracy theory. Many people believe that there are sabotage activities behind this attack. Many are not ruling out the possibility of Chinese involvement in this attack. Some people are also referring to the 9/11 attacks in America.

Many claim that MV Dali was cyber attacked by Chinese hackers. There was no electricity on the ship at the time of the accident. They believe that the power loss in the ship can only be caused by a cyber attack.

China’s conflict with America is not new. Many Americans view China as an enemy. Almost everyone is aware of the ‘fight’ of the two countries to dominate the world.

The US recently banned a hacking group known as APT31. Not only America, Britain has also banned the same group.

America's ban is increasing mystery

At the end of this year there is a national election in America. Intelligence claims that Chinese hackers are monitoring many high-ranking American government officials, journalists, people associated with the judiciary, and politicians. And that’s why this ban on them.

America’s ban on Chinese hackers came to light after the Baltimore bridge disaster. Whether these two events are just coincidences or whether there is really a relationship between the two events is a hot topic. US information expert Brian Costello posted on the X (ex-Twitter) handle and claimed, “After the Baltimore bridge disaster, there is growing concern about our port’s cyber vulnerability.”

“About 80 percent of the cranes used to facilitate work in US ports are made in China and are operated by Chinese software,” he wrote in support of his comments.

The White House and the Baltimore administration, however, refuse to accept the theory of a Chinese attack. Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the investigation found no signs of sabotage. China has also opened up about conspiracy theories. Liu Pengyu, spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, condemned the speculation that China is connected to the Baltimore bridge disaster as “slander”.

According to experts, such conspiracy theories come to light only after any disaster. And behind this conspiracy, the old enemy is raised. China is being blamed after the Baltimore Bridge disaster. There is a risk of misinformation spreading which could deteriorate the relationship between the two countries.

Last January, the FBI warned that cybercriminals were preparing to “wreak havoc” in the United States on behalf of the Chinese government.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said at the time, “They (China) are actively attacking our economic security systems almost every day. In this, the personal information of our people in various fields is being stolen.”

However, China termed such allegations as baseless. The White House began to take action after the FBI’s warning. After discussions, the US imposed sanctions on Chinese hackers.
