At Hyderabad, Cummins also offers a leadership option, though head coach Daniel Vettori has not commented on that possibility.
The former captain of New Zealand, Vettori, stated, “There’s a lot of cricket left before the IPL.”
“We’ll have to get through that and then we’ll make a decision closer to that time.”
On March 23, SRH will play their first away game of the 2024 Indian Premier League at Eden Gardens against the Kolkata Knight Riders, led by recently chosen captain Cummins.
