According to the Election Commission’s statement, May 14 is the deadline for submitting nominations for the Chandigarh Union Territory. There are currently no nominations for candidates for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha Elections of 2024.

However, according to media speculations, an unidentified actress may run against current MP Kirron Kher to represent the BJP.

2019 Chandigarh Lok Sabha Elections: A Summary
74.2% of Chandigarh voters cast ballots in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, and Kirron Kher of the BJP defeated Pawan Bansal, a former Congress minister.

This triumph was reminiscent to Kher’s from 2014, when the Bollywood star received 231,188 votes as opposed to Bansal’s 184,218.

Before Kher took office, Congressman Pawan Bansal had served as Chandigarh’s representative for three terms in a row, in 1999, 2004 and 2009.
