Hansika Motwani Calls FIR Malicious After Sister-in-Law Alleges Harassment, Lavish Wedding Demands, and Marital Interference

TV actress Muskan James married Prashant Motwani, Hansika’s brother, in December 2020. The couple separated in December 2022. James alleged that Hansika forced her to sell her apartment and contribute ₹20 lakh for a lavish wedding venue in Udaipur. Hansika pointed out the delay in filing the FIR. Although the incidents allegedly took place between December 2020 and May 2024, the FIR was filed only in December 2024. She noted that there were no previous police reports, court actions, or medical records, which cast doubt on the credibility of the claims.

She called the FIR a retaliatory tactic in the ongoing matrimonial dispute. According to her, the aim was to pressure her family into a financial settlement. She also claimed that the abuse accusations lacked evidence and the financial allegations were unclear and inconsistent.
